MMS15 IKB Demonstration Pages
A number of demonstration pages are given below to indicate
how the pages of the Interactive Knowledge Base (IKB)on NDE of Composites could look.
The page below illustrates the 'Browse
by Technique' feature implemented in a similar manner to the existing HOIS
IKB. The facility proposed in MMS15 will be more versatile and
allow information to be associated potentially with a variety of things
including NDE method, Material and Industry.

feature could look. There will be a standard set of information for
each technique including
example data and performance and reliability information.
Effect of Material Factors on NDE
Click on the link below to see material factors that may
influence detectability by NDE. These are amongst
the factors that could be included in the 'Recommend a Technique' feature.

'Recommend a Technique'

The user will have the opportunity to answer any of a
number of questions to define their inspection problem.
At any time they can choose to View the Results giving a ranked list of
potential technologies. A 'Scoring Report'
can be viewed to see the basis on which a particular value has been arrived
at. The recommendations are advisory
only but can provide guidance on alternative methods that could be useful.
